The clouds appear like cotton.
The torrential rain has stopped.
The sun’s now shining brightly,
and vibrant colors have suddenly popped.
There’s an arc of colors
among the sun and clouds.
It’s like a sign from Heaven.
In it’s honor, all wet trees are bowed.
So, I walk under the rainbow,
following that beautiful arc.
The vibrant colors guide me, and
I’ll walk ‘til it gets dark.
I revel in it’s beauty,
wondering what is at the end.
So, I walk under the rainbow,,
hoping my heart will mend.
I think of the boy who broke it,
how he was honest, but oh, so cruel.
He told me he no longer loved me,
and I felt like such a fool.
I wonder if he sees the rainbow,
and if he’s walking just like me.
Maybe we’ll meet in the middle,
and he’ll realize we’re meant to be.
So, I walk under the rainbow,
following that beautiful arc.
The vibrant colors guide me, and
I’ll walk ‘til it gets dark.
I revel in it’s beauty,
wondering what is at the end.
I walk under the rainbow,
hoping my heart will mend.
I thought we were forever,
that I’d be walking down the aisle.
Instead, my boy blindsided me.
How could he be so vile?
So, I walk under the rainbow,
following that beautiful arc.
The vibrant colors guide me, and
I’ll walk ‘til it gets dark.
I revel in it’s beauty,
wondering what is at the end.
I walk under the rainbow,
hoping my heart will mend.
